Our next concert is our Autumn Fundraining Concert at Longney Church. The choir will be performing Messe de Minuit (Midnight Mass) by Marc-Antoine Charpentier as well Psalm 151 and a selection of church anthems.
We are a 23-strong Church Choir composed of 6 male and 17 female voices and all ages are represented! The majority of the choir are Deans or Bishops choristers. There are some stunning solo voices in the choir and we have an excellent junior choir amongst us.
We are seeking to increase our numbers and would be particularly interested to hear from children and men. You do not need to be an expert singer, full training and help with aspects of music will be given. The choir runs like a very happy family and singing is very good for you!
If you would like to help us to do this, please print out some posters and put them up where you can! If you can take some to your local school (we take 8+ year olds) or have a contact in the local press, this would be of great help to us. Spread the word!
